founder influencers have so much to teach us, so I really love this trend - feels like a win-win, especially when they're sharing tactical lessons that you can't find in a business book or course.
do you think there's something to be said about a FI being overly honest? As someone who's trying to create a pants business and give bts insights at the same time, I initially wanted to share every step of the process, but worry if there are things one should vs shouldn't share for the sake of appealing to the market. curious to hear your thoughts.
Love this question! I think it's completely valid to want to keep some things close to the vest – it's a tricky balance between being authentic/honest and connecting to your audience, but also keeping some things private for the sake of brand appeal and customer or investor sentiment.
If it were me, I might keep some product details, like soon-to-be-launched designs or manufacturers, private, but then share some of my feelings or experiences around being a founder more openly. I think audiences really connect with founders' experiences and their personal ups and downs!
